The Rule of 3 leads us to another goodie

Ivory mentioned a while ago that if she hears about a product from 3 different sources, she decides it’s time to check it out. That happened with the epic Glam Glow which has changed lives.

embryolisse

Now it’s my turn. About a year ago I was reading an interview with a Makeup Artist (whose name escapes me) and this person said that they never touch a model’s face with makeup before applying Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre. Okay, since I had never heard of it, I just filed it away in my Dewey Decimal System (yep, I went there). Anyhoooo, Ivory and I were at The Makeup Show in November and, as we were watching a demo on the Temptu Pro airbrush foundation, the artist prepping the model’s skin whispered to someone to grab the Embryolisse. He said he always uses it before every airbrush foundation. That’s 2. Then, that same day, James Vincent (Makeup Artist Extraordinaire) sung his praises of the workhorse cream. It’s always in his kit. That’s 3. Lucky for me, Embryolisse had a booth set up at The Makeup Show and we were able to grab some.

Here’s the skinny on it. This is a straight up moisturizer that doesn’t claim to erase damage, fade spots or that you’ll be able to bounce a quarter off your cheeks (the other cheeks). It simply moisturizes in a no frills way to give you supple, smooth and plumped skin. Makeup artists swear by this product because supple, smooth and plumped skin is what they desire before applying any foundation or makeup. You don’t want your canvas to be dry, stretched, cracked and tight. Have you ever put your foundation on when your skin was dry and it just turned into blotchy mess? Applying foundation on perfectly balanced skin is going to give much different results. Hydrated skin is plumped skin. Period.

I have really started to love this product, as I was always afraid that putting on moisturizer under my foundation would turn me in to a butter face in 10 minutes. Embryolisse is light enough to give your skin balanced hydration without being greasy or slick. It just feels good.

This product is used as a primer, moisturizer and a makeup remover. It’s gentle enough to use as a baby cream or a shave cream.

Check out the info on the site for more info.

The best news is that Embryolisse is going to be on Hautelook tomorrow 3/14! The sale starts at 8am PST so if you want to check out this cult product, this is a great time to do it.

Have you tried this product yet? Will you stock up on Hautelook?
